At Hotel Nikko Himeji, we prioritize the safety of our guests above all else, and we have established the following policy regarding food allergies:
① In our restaurants, we indicate the use of the eight specified ingredients (eggs, milk, wheat, peanuts, shrimp, buckwheat, crab, and walnuts) based on information provided by producers, manufacturers, and distributors.
For banquet meals, we can inform you in advance of the specified ingredients contained in the planned menu upon request. If the planned dishes are not suitable for your dietary needs, we are happy to discuss possible alternatives through prior consultation.
② Please note that information on the 21 items equivalent to specified ingredients and other food items, for which labeling is not mandatory under Japanese law, may not always be accurately available from our suppliers. Therefore, as a general rule, our hotel provides information only on the eight specified ingredients for which labeling is legally required.
③ Please be aware that our restaurant and banquet kitchens handle the eight specified ingredients as well as other potential allergens in daily operations. The same cooking utensils and frying oil are used for various dishes. While all tableware and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, trace amounts of allergens may unintentionally be present due to the kitchen environment. Therefore, we regret that we are unable to guarantee completely allergen-free meals.
④ We will make every effort to accommodate your request to the extent possible upon prior consultation; however, please understand that it may not always be possible to meet all requests.
When consulting with us regarding food allergies, we kindly ask that you provide any necessary information in advance.
⑤ For restaurant use, please contact us at least three days in advance, and for banquet use, at least fourteen days in advance, if you wish to request a “low-allergen menu” excluding the eight specified ingredients.
⑥ Guests with severe food allergies are kindly requested to bring their own food items.
We sincerely ask for your understanding of the above and request that you make your final decision after careful consideration of your physical condition and consultation with your physician.
